Sat 26th May. The FA Women's Cup, Ashton Gate.

Children from Easton Primary School had the chance of a lifetime today!

The FA Women's cup final was played at Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol this year, and we went along to cheer our favourite team along. There was a definite split in the ranks with most of the children supporting Chelsea Ladies and most of the adults cheering Birmingham City Ladies on.

It was a fantastic game with lots of exciting twists and turns, but Birmingham City Ladies came out on top, winning 3-2 on penalties.

Wed 23rd May. Year 3/4, Benjamin Zephaniah literacy class.

Today, in Mr King's literacy lesson we were writing the middle of a story set in an imaginary world.

Mr King was very impressed by the standard of all the work. However, pushing it to the max with their superb sentences and powerful verbs were Jason, Rahdoine and Noor.

Well done! Let's see who will be here next time.

Superstar writers.

Years 5 and 6 are growing vegetables.

Years 5 and 6 have been working with Grofun planting vegetables in our veg bed and potatoes in sacks. We are looking forward to creating a tasty meal using what we've grown at the end of next term.

Green Fingers!

This is what potatoes look like if you don't eat them soon enough!

Wed 16th May. Zoo Learning Experience.

Year 1 and BSLC had a trip on the wild side today to Bristol Zoo.

We spent the morning in two different workshops learning first about mini-beasts and then about plants. In the afternoon we explored the varied and wonderful sights, sounds and smells that the zoo has to offer.

Sun 13th May. Sponsored Bike Ride.

On Sunday 13th May, under glorious blue skies and sunshine, seven members of staff and some of their family members cycled the Bristol to Bath cycle path and back again. A total of over 30 miles!

Between us we cycled a grand total of over 250 miles (that's the equivalent to cycling to Cornwall twice!)

The best bit is that we raised £415 for Easton Under Canvas. Well done team!

Team E.U.C at the halfway point. If you look closely you can see that Bristol is 15 1/2 miles away!

Pedal Power!

We even saw Thomas the Tank Engine!

A good day was had by all!
